The duo 6emeia was created and developed by the artists Anderson Augusto known as IS, and Leonardo Delafuente, residents of Barra Funda, São Paulo(Brazil) where they started the project with the aim of change and transformation of everyday life.
The goal is to modify the environment in which we all live by proposing a new look and a reflection upon the themes generated by the unusual and creative work, which consists of painting culverts, poles, manhole covers and any other object that builds the urban landscape.
With the drains painted, propose a new kind of language between art and the city people. Putting art at the service of everyone. Showing that even the most forgotten and indifferent object, can be looked at carefully and vent art. Affirming in this way that art doesn’t necessarily need to be linked or hanging on the walls of galleries or museums.
In a city, confused and overwhelmed with colors like gray and beige, the duo 6emeia clashes with the landscape with its palette of colors, bringing life and good humor to all. Enjoy!
